Specialities:- "Portraits"

Inge Casemier began painting seriously after the 1996 Vermeer Exhibition, and describes herself as a semi - professional painter. After this exhibition, Inge made copies of around twenty of Vermeers works, and then set about producing several variants of his painting "Girl with a pearl". Some of these variations have typical Dutch characteristics, while others are inspired by the works of Leonardo da Vinci (Mona Lisa), Raphaël (Velata) and Giorgione (Maria). The results, on display here, are inspiring in themselves, and masterfully executed. Later, Inge applied her talents to the more mundane objects of daily life, resulting in a selection of superb still life paintings, works which ably demonstrate her considerable artistic abilities. The replacement of the well designed Dutch banknotes by the Euro led to the theme of money, and to more excellent paintings. In Inge's own words, "Money is also the symbol of power in this world." Inge Casemier currently runs a small workshop, producing Mannequins for Museums. Orders for Mannequin "farmers", ladies, and children are all produced with their own specially made wig and make-up. Inge hopes to close the workshop in about two years in order to paint full-time. We at Universal Archives are proud to display Inge's work, and we wish her great success in her future career.
