Marcel Wijnen Netherlands
This talented artist was born in Leiden, the Netherlands in 1962.
Mainly self-taught, Marcel studied for 2 years at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the Hague,
after which he began research into renaissance techniques. He undertook a 5-day training session with the Dutch classical painter Cees le Mair, which he describes as "An important stimulant in the right direction."
Marcel's objectives are to become a professional artist, to use oils to their fullest extent and to explore all styles of painting.
It can be seen from the small selection of works presented below that Marcel is already well on the way to success.
