Bangladesh Street Kids Project

Street Kids live in the boat and train stations of Sylhet and Dhaka.
They lead a hard and often violent life.

We will help a dozen highly motivated, very smart street youth graduate from high school, and if possible, college.
Our youth will also have the opportunity to learn the visual arts. We are selling memberships.
Members receive museum quality, signed prints by Stephen Shames. All money goes to the kids.

We are asking your support to provide schooling for a small number of very smart and motivated street children in Dhaka, the capitol
of Bangladesh, one of the world’s poorest nations. Dhaka is home to thousands of street children - some as young as six-years-old.
These kids work in menial jobs, beg, or pick up trash. Unable to earn a decent living,
entirely without adult guidance; some are driven to crime and prostitution.
These kids are saveable. They are well behaved and want to learn. Bangladesh culture is intact
and traditional values are strong. The criminal underclass is small.
